Baby shower and a weekend with the girls!

It's amazing how much things can change before you know it! 10 years ago my college friends and I were working on things like where we're going to tonight and how cool it is to be in college and have no curfew! Now topics of discussion include whether or not pacifiers are good and which strollers are the easiest to push. I guess a baby really does change everything.

Last weekend I helped throw my friend Jennifer (aka Woody) a baby shower. It was great to see my college friends again, it's been far too long! The shower was at Jessica's (Hobson's) house and, since some things stay the same, Jessica is an overachiever. She had a baby last month (a cute little boy named Joshua) and when I arrived at her house on Friday to get things ready, she was feeding the baby while icing the cake that she made from scratch for the shower!
The shower not only included 2 super cute babies (Joshua and my other friend Leah's baby, Maggie) but two pregnant ladies! Our friend Jamie from IU is also pregnant and due around the same time as Jennifer, but she doesn't know what she's having. The best part about the shower, other than the babies, was that Allie (Ski) came all the way from California for it! She had some flight drama getting here but she came! I miss my Ski-dawg!

Below are some pictures from the shower:

Here are Allie & I with Joshua.

Here are Leah and Maggie....look at the cheeks on Maggie! I think they're eating her face!

Here are the ADPi girls! I miss seeing them in Cincinnati and it's going to be even worse when we move to Mississippi! Good thing that there are direct inexpensive flights from Jackson to Indy!

Not much is new with Adam, he has to leave his current housing at the end of the month but he has a new on campus apartment lined up until June. Another coach and him got a two bedroom on campus apartment to split until I move down there. It's pretty cheap, about $150 a month each. It will be good because we'll get to save some money on two rents and Adam will be right on campus. Of course there really isn't anything to do around there, but Adam is pretty low maintance and doesn't need a lot. I can't wait to move down there! I miss him!!

Signing Day is here!

For those of you who don't know, tomorrow (Feb. 6th) is signing day for college football. It's the first day that all the high school recruits can sign their letter of intent. Last I heard, Alcorn had about 19 players commit and that was about all they needed to get. Adam's got 5 offensive lineman in this class that he is excited to work with. I stayed home sick today and tried to rest but couldn't fall asleep so I did some work. I'm still going to try and go to class though.

After work tomorrow, I am heading back to Indy for a 4 day weekend (woo hoo). I told my dad I would clean out some of the stuff I left behind when I moved to Indy since I'll be moving far away and he is looking to sell the house in the near future. So that is the boring part, the fun part is that Ski is coming from California to visit!! Well, not to visit me, but to go to Woody's (Jennifer's) baby shower that we are throwing on Saturday. I know I will have some photos to post and I'll also try and get a list of all the recruits that sign with Alcorn for everyone to check out.
