Adam came to visit

Okay, it's a little weird saying that your husband came to visit you, but Adam did! He was sent to Cincinnati to recruit for a few days. It was great seeing him! We went to a few of our favorite local restaurants while he was here to enjoy them while we can. They had a recruiting weekend this weekend and last I heard they got nine more commitments which brings their total to about 14 or 15. Adam leaves tonight to go to Atlanta to recruit along with another coach.

I have to tell you what my neighbor is doing right now because it is very odd. We have had a lot of snow and ice lately which has left people's cars covered with salt. I went to the car wash yesterday to get all the salt washed off. I'm sitting at my desk by the window typing this right now and my neighbor has a bottle of Windex and a roll of paper towels and he is wiping down his car with Windex and paper towel. It seems like just too much work to me.

Other than Adam's visit I have little else to report. I'm still working on finishing up my MBA, working, and looking for employment in Mississippi. I'm also trying to clean out our apartment and get rid of things that we're not going to take to Mississippi because we have a lot of junk and I don't want to pack and haul it all down south. Last weekend I went to a local pub to watch the IU game (since I don't have Big Ten network) with some friends from the IU alumni association, from which I have met some awesome people! It's kind of funny because none of us are from Cincinati orginally, and there are hardly any active members that are from Cincinnati even thought a lot of people from the area go to school at IU (by the way there were a lot of other tables of IU fans...it was almost like being back in Bloomington). I guess when I move down south we're going to have to get the Big ten network and big east network so we can watch IU and UC games.

In a couple of weeks is Woody's baby shower and Allie (Ski) is coming all the way from California for it! I can't wait to see her and Jessica's baby, Joshua, who was born 2 weeks ago. Congrats (a little late I know) to Jessica and Matt!!

All alone in Cincinnati....plus Luke Shorter sings X-mas favorites!

It is boring here without Adam! Luckily I have made some good friends to hang out with, just today I met some friends for lunch and we had a good time. Classes have just started so I'm back to work with that. In addition to that, I'm looking for a new job in Mississippi since there is no opportunity to transfer in my current job. I would like to be able to work from home since Adam's job will likely require him to move again, but anything in the area will have to do. I'll keep you updated on that front.

My boss found out I was moving before I could told her because it was in the Cincinnati post that Adam accepted a job as the O-line coach at Alcorn State. I was planning on telling her only so that I could openly explore opportunities within the company, otherwise I probably wouldn't have said anything right away. My co-worker who sits near my boss was reading online in the Cincinnati Post about the UC bowl win and at the end of this article there was 3 sentences about Adam leaving and he asked me right in front of my boss "are you moving?" I didn't know what to say because I knew that I was, but I didn't know how he would know. All I said was "what? why?" and then he said that "it says in the Post that you're moving". I looked on his computer, saw the article and looked at my boss and said "yeah, I'm moving". I was "outed" by the Post!

To the right is a picture of our niece Olivia at Christmas with her baby Anabel. You can feed Anabel a bottle (with water) and she will cry real tears! She is far more sophisticated than the dolls I had at her age.

Below is a video of Luke singing Christmas songs. I'll be honest with you, he doesn't really know the words to the songs well so I'm not sure if he'll be the next American Idol, but luckily he has his looks for fall back on. You will also notice that at the end of the clip he says "Let me see football" and that is because I was showing him some video I took at some of Adam's football games and he LOVES football!

Here is a picture of Adam with our other nephew Mason. I can only imagine the trouble him and Luke are going to get into once Mason gets a little older!
