Well, I have to include Daisy as part of the family!
Most of you have heard by now that Adam and I are expecting our first child. Baby Shorter is due July 19th. We had to try and time the baby to avoid a football season delivery....what a life I married into! I am finally getting over the morning sickness. As an FYI to all everyone who has not experienced pregnancy: "morning" sickness is a bunch of bull! I was sick morning, noon, and night! I felt so awful I kept telling Adam that this baby was going to be an only child. I'm doing much better now so I may have another one...we'll see how labor goes:)
I've been reading pregnancy books like crazy and had no idea there are about a zillion different ways you could potentially hurt your baby and not even know it! It's kind of nerve-wracking for a first-time mom-to-be but when I get really worried and nervous I just do a couple of tequila shots and it calms me down....HA! Just kidding of course! A little pregnancy humor:)
I'm starting to show and am having trouble fitting into my clothes. The worst part is being at that early pregnancy phase where I'm showing a little but you may not really be able to tell I'm pregnant, I just look like I hit the all you can eat buffet hard. I guess I know and that's all that matters. I will try and post a belly shot when I get around to it. Right not it just looks like a mini beer gut though.
By the way, GO COLTS!!! SUPER BOWL XLIV HERE WE COME!!!

Funny things my 4 year old nephew said on Christmas
Many of you are familiar with my 4 year old nephew Luke. He is my oldest nephew with Mason at 2 and twins Nolan & Trevor at 3 months. Luke is always good entertainment and always says what's on his mind. Here are some classic Luke quotes...Christmas 2009 edition.
Luke just comes out of the bathroom after taking a poopie:
Dad: Did you wash your hands?
Luke: Yes
Dad: Did you flush the toilet?
Luke: Yes
Dad: Are you sure?
Luke: Yes, I even wiped.
Luke playing with the phone:
Me: Are you calling your girlfriend?
Luke: No
Me: Do you have a girlfriend?
Luke: No
Me: Why not?
Luke: Because they're devious
I told my brother-in-law what Luke said and he thought for sure I misunderstood him, after all what 4 year old uses the word devious. So I asked him again "why don't you have a girlfriend?" and again he clearly said "because they're devious". Somehow at 4 he has already learned to be wary of women.
I didn't take as many photos as I normally do. With the 5 kids now I find that you spend more time trying to keep track of them than you do taking pictures!
